What shape of shade sail can you create?

Our team are able to create any shape of sail to suit the space that needs to be shaded. We'll come and measure where your shade will sit, draw up an example in our CAD software, before cutting and sewing the cloth.

What colours of shade cloth are available?

We have access to over 50 colours of shade cloth, thanks to our partnerships with major suppliers. We most commonly use Z16 cloth, and you can see their range of colours here.

Do you make all of your own shade sails?

Yes! We're responsible for your job from start to finish, meaning we measure, create and install your shade cloth in-house. This ensures a perfect fit for your shade sail.

What thread do you use to sew the shade sail?

We only use PTFE thread, which is UV stabilised and highly resistant to breaking down in constant sun exposure. It's one of the best threads for this application on the market and will generally outlive the cloth itself.

Does my shade sail need maintenance?

Yes, shade cloths and umbrellas need regular maintenance to ensure they retain their original look and shape, particularly if they have a lot of leaves or plant matter falling on them.

The best method to do this is to use a soft bristle brush and sugar soap to gently work the soap into the cloth. Leave for 15–20 minutes before rinsing off.

For hard-to-remove dirt, use a commercial-grade cleaner, such as Wet & Forget.

How thick is Speedliner spray coating?

Our recommended thickness of coating is 2.5mm. This will provide the best results for your vehicle or surface. If needed, we are able to spray Speedliner thicker for increased protection.

How long does the protective coating take to dry?

Speedliner coating is usually dry to the touch within 1-2 hours, when sitting at room temperature. After 24 hours, your car, boat, or other coated surface will be ready for light use, and after 3–5 days your coating will be fully cured and ready to use as normal.

How do I care for my Speedliner protective coating?

Caring for your protective coating is relatively easy. You can use products such as Armor All, however we don't generally recommend it as these products leave the surface very slippery. General car wash is enough to clean your coating
effectively.
